About Med-Scene

History

Med-Scene, L.L.C. was one of the first companies providing satellite transmissions of live medical procedures into annual medical meetings on an ongoing basis. Originally an industry film and video production company, Med-Scene moved into the highly specialized market of live medical case transmissions in 1987. At the time, the live cases were shown on 24-inch televisions to an audience of 50 medical physicians and industry experts.

It was a fortuitous move. Since then, the entire medical and media industry has experienced dramatic growth in innovation and expansion.

From 1998 to 2001, Med-Scene, L.L.C. designed and implemented meetings that featured speaker presentations utilizing not only 35mm slides, but the newer Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote computer programs. In 2003, Med-Scene, L.L.C. designed and implemented the first use of a multi-format, single, blended projection screen system for any medical meeting in the world. In 2008, Med-Scene designed and produced the first, and world's largest, all HDTV live case transmission medical meeting. [The TCT 2008 meeting was the world's second largest HDTV event— second only to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing!]

Currently, Med-Scene, L.L.C. produces, coordinates, or directs the transmission of over one hundred live cases on an annual basis.
